Porcelain Crowns

A crown is an artificial tooth that fits over the remaining part of a prepared tooth. Crowns are an ideal way of treating teeth that have had a large filling or have been weakened by decay. They are made in such a manner that they look and feel just like your original teeth.

Crowns can be made entirely of porcelain or of two materials; a precious or non precious metal substructure or a white substructure made from a special glass or a zirconium material. This substructure is then covered with a porcelain to give the tooth a realistic appearance.

Porcelain crowns are hand crafted by a master technician who ensures that each crown has a perfect shape, colour and fit.

Before  After.

The above case is one done by Dr. Algra in 2009. Dr. Algra and Dr Patel can advise patients if they are suitable for these procedures.
